Default No water into icemaker
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KSSS42DBX
Age: More than 10 years

Water dispenser works. Ice maker will make & eject ice if I pour water into the icemaker by hand. I can "hear" the water reacting to the electromechanical instruction to send water down the line . However, the water never arrives in the icemaker. After removing the cover from the top of the refrig (this is a built in). I can see that water has sprayed out in that area. I have not been able to disagnose the exact location of the spraying, only that the water sprays out in the general area of the compressor. The spraying water does not occur when the ice maker arm is raised to the "full of ice" position. Any idea of what part ? Or how to force the water to spray when i am viewing it with a flashlight in order to identify which part to buy?
Thanks!!!!!!!

From what you are saying the problem is in the line that goes from the inlet valve to the ice maker.

You may have a cracked nut on the valve or a crack in the line.

It is not a good idea to have the water spraying around the electoral parts.

Here is a view of the inlet valve and connections.
