RE"Side-by-side" fridge
I have almost same problem with a GE, whose manuals say it is "Sears ken more"
Model 25 3586 77893.

My grandmother has a GE/Sears Side-by-side firdge. She's called 4 different repairmen and have it put out ice again, and gotten NO result whatsoever. It's been one excuse after another. Starting with "th switch was off" BS from first one, then it was kinked hose, then it was pipeline in, and so on and so forth..

So far they have NO ANSWERs. The water will NOT feed in AUTOMATICALLY. if I feed it

manually, it wroks PERFECTO, Make it, dumps it, and all. perfecto. No problem. It just will NOT

feed it "SELF" in any way!!! I'm at the point of avoiding GE and Kenmore all together, since the

repair people don't know ANYTHING about it, it's getting more and more useless to go even near

as a new purchase!

The hoses are fine. I've tested them. And everything else is spotless clean. It makes NO SENSE with

"repair" people here 4 times now.

I don't get it! what is going on???

Joey

If you have an ohm meter check the switches in the ice maker.

One of the switch is for the water.

If the switch is not being actuated or is burnt it will not signal the water valve to open.

Here is a link to the parts of your fridge model 25 3586 77893.
