Default NO water to Ice Maker
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KSRP25FNBL00
Age: 1 - 4 years

Presently I can not get water to fill the ice maker in my Kitchen Aid side by side refrigerator. I checked the water fill line to the ice maker and did not find any obstructions. I checked the in-line fuse in the water making itself and it was fine. I checked water valve inlet for the recommend ohm readings. This refrigerator has a dual water valve one for water on the door and one for the ice maker. The water feeding the door works fine. The readings on each solenoid valve was 232 and 354 so with in the recommended range of 200-500ohms. I replaced the water valve anyways and it made no difference. Interesting the new valve ohms readings were 194 and 321 respectively. I then changed the Electronic Control Boards - emitter and receiver in the freezer compartment this did nothing to fix the problem either. There is a part in the ice maker which is referred to (BIMETL-DEF pn: PS380941) I’m not sure if this would effect the ice making because I have no idea what its function is. The thermostat for the freezer is set where is has always been set and the freezer works fine. The is a reference to a Defrost thermostat but the water coming out of the door is chilled as it is suppose to be so I’m not sure if that could be it. Any thoughts or info on the working of the 2 components listed about or an idea the fix the problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The function of the bi metal in the ice maker is to stop the heater from staying on too long.

Make sure the switch on the side of the ice maker is on.

Make sure the eyes on the boards are clear of obstructions.

If you remove the kick plate located across the front of the fridge under the doors you may find a tech sheet on the test procedures.

Please check your model number as the parts you are describing are not listed on this model.

The ice maker switch is on. The boards are clear of obstructions I will look for the tech sheet under the doors. The model no. is correct when i type it in partslect search it displays all the parts and exploded isometric drawings just for info the last two digits in the model number are zero's. i tried it again and it comes up as shown
