I have no water at the ice maker tray.

This refrig. has a water dispenser in the door. I switched the wires from the door water solenoid with the Ice Maker water supply solenoid and the ice maker solenoid works. I get water at the door (I attached the door water supply line to the Ice Maker Solenoid)

The Ice Maker gears turn, the shut off wire moves during the cycle, and the heater element gets hot.

Sounds like the Ice Maker water solenoid is not getting power to open when the ice maker hits that part of the cycle.

Is there a circuit that controls this, or do I just need a new ice maker unit??

I just fixed my Ice maker problem. Just a stupid design issue. The water supply pipe that feeds the ice trays was frozen blocked. Removed and ran under hot water. Reinstalled.

We keep the freezer at 5 on a scale of 1 - 10. If it freezes again, I will look into another fix (insulate??).
