went to sears and purchased a new selonoid and water still does not come into the water tray. water comes out of the front door.

Try swapping the two lines around at the water inlet valve and see if the water dispenser will then send water to the ice maker to make sure it's not a line problem.

Check for frozen fill tube at ice maker.

If you swap the water outlet lines, dont you also need to swap the electrical connector too? I seem to have 3 outlets? 1 for water, 1 for ice maker, 1 for??? veggie area that is humid??

My problem was a frozen inlet line. Thawed from rear with hair dryer and it works fine now.
