OK, here's a riddle:

The ice and water dispenser on my GE side-by-side quit working. The ice maker is working (ice gets made), but it won't dispense any ice (ice dispemnser motor doesn't kick on) nor will it dispense any water. Also, the light in the ice-water dispense alcove quit. REplaces water filter with plug, and it appears that there is water coming in. Pulled back off and looked at water valve and pulled front off to look at solenoid.

So my hunch is it's either the water valve in the back, the solenoid in the dispenser, the motherboard -- or some switch somewhere.

It is likely the mother board.
