 No Water, but Ice is working Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 4 years
My Frigidaire side by side refrigerator/freezer is having problems behaving tonight. When the lever to dispense ice was pressed, both ice and water came out. Then, no water would come out when that lever was pressed. It sounds like water is flowing, but nothing is coming out. (Nothing is coming out of the appropriate location anyway. Hopefully it's not coming out somewhere else we can't see.) The filter (Puresource 2 front cassette type) is less than 6 months old and the filter status light (which does come on when the water lever is pressed) is still green. It appears that the refrigerator might be colder than normal as there is at least one bottle of water that is frozen. Other liquids have not frozen, however. The ice maker seems to be working fine, at this point anyway. Ice is still being produced as usual.
What are the possibilities, and of those what can be corrected by someone not mechanically inclined? Thanks in advance for the suggestions.
