Default No Power to Cap-Water Valve (Ice Maker)
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 25353622301
Age: 1 - 4 years

I took my Kenmore #25353622301 out of the storage for 6 months but Ice Maker don't make ice and Water flow become very low and temperature is just room temp, not cold at all.

Check the wiring to the Cap-Water Valve but found no power to the valve.

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

The valve for the ice maker will only have power to it when the ice maker calls for water.

The valve for the water dispenser will only have power when water is being dispensed.

Shut the water supply to the fridge off and remove the line and check the flow.

If the fridge is not down to operating temperature the ice maker will not make ice.

Where was the fridge stored?

Check the wiring in the fridge.

Will the compressor run?

Thanks for your advice.

Fridge was store at public storage prior to relocate from San Diego, CA to Walnut, CA.

Both Water and Ice Maker were operated perfectly OK prior to the storage.
After relocating to Walnut, CA Fridge and Freezer is working fine. Also the water but temperature of water is not cool down.

I have checked the water link to the ice maker and it didn't show any sign of water to go in at all because its completely dry.

I've unplug the built-in water filter, then water stop flow to water dispenser and resume water flow after the built-in filter is plug in.

Opened the cover to the timer and the timer is working because I can see the movement of the ice ejector and rotating of the timer if the On/Off lever is in down position, but no water to goes in the ice maker.

I also pour water to the ice maker manually and ice eject from the unit after the ice maker complete the cycle.

Would the problem comes from the Inlake Valve?

Measure the resistance of the valve.
Main Intake valve is 283 ohm
Water Dispenser valve is 243 ohm
Ice Maker valve is 199 ohm (the blue tube goes into the ice maker).

Thanks for the advice.

I storge this in public storage before relocating from San Diego County to LA County.

The fridge and freeze works fine, also water dispenser but water just in room temperature, not cool or cold at all.

I have unplug the water hose from the ice maker water out valve and discover no water to come out from the valve at all.

Resistance on the main inlet valve is 294 ohms.
Water outlut valve is 234 ohms but ice maker outlet valve only get 199 ohms.

I also check the timer assembly and it was moving as normal in ice making cycle.

Ice ejector kicks up and return to low position after the cycle completed while the On/Off lever is in ON position.

Also unpluged the built-in filer and NO water come out from the water dispenser until the filter is plug back in.
Is the problem come from the valve or not?

Check the temperature in the freezer it must be 5 degrees or below for the ice maker to work.

If the water from the dispenser is not cold the temperature in the fridge must warm.

The valves sound like they are OK.
