Default No Ice
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: TFX28PBDABB
Age: More than 10 years

I have replaced both the icemaker and the icemaker water valve, but I'm still not getting any water to the icemaker. The water dispenser works fine. If I fill it manually, the ice freezes and is ejected but then doesn't refill. There is a four prong plug from the icemaker that plugs into a 4 hole socket. Does this socket maybe go to to a control board that then turns on the water valve to send water to the icemaker? I checked the water line going from the water valve to the icemaker and it will allow water to flow. The water valve is apparently just never being sent the voltage to cause it to open. Please help, I don't know what else to change.

Have a look at your wiring diagram.

There should be one in the ice maker cover for the ice maker.

Here is a link to your fridge model TFX28PBDABB.

The fridge wiring diagram should be in an envelope behind the kick plate stuck to the bottom of the fridge.

Default Working Now

I powered the refrigerator off for about five minutes. Plugged it back in and in the morning there was ice in the bin. Working fine ever since. Thanks.
