Just plugged in this brand new freezer. Purchased in Feb, but house construction not completed until last week, so this is first chance to plug in. Fans run, lights work, no cooling. Compressor (? at bottom rear) seems very hot.

My options are limited, as I live alone in a very remote area. When freezer was purchased (from Home Depot), their loaders loaded it flat into bed of a friend's pickup. They said that was fine. I'm wondering now if maybe that wasn't fine? IF I can get a repair person out here, is this repairable? Do I need to find a way to get my hands on a pickup and haul it 100 miles back to Home Depot? The cost of gas may be more than cost to get a repair person out here.

Any advice? Thanks!

Warranty should cover service calls since it's never worked. I would also try to get Home Depot since it hasn't been used.
