New Icemaker, New Solenoid Valve, No Ice Brand: Amana Model Number: SXD27TW Age: More than 10 years Replaced the Solenoid Valves, in-door Water Dispenser works fine, cheater cord test confirms water fills the Mold Tray in the icemaker.
After manually filling the icemaker by applying power to the solenoid, the icemaker cycles completely and dumps the cubes.
Old icemaker passed all electrical tests, but I replaced it anyway. New icemaker also passes all electrical tests.
However, the icemaker never fills with water. The bail wire in the down (on) position does cause the unit to cycle after manually filling the mold tray.
The internal freezer temperature measures between 0 and 2 degrees F.
So, the water lines are clear with good water pressure, the new solenoid valve works fine, the new icemaker seems to work fine once filled, but it seems to never send the signal to the valve to begin filling, despite an internal temperature in the 1 degree range.
Any suggestions?
