Default Is my seal right on my new fridge?
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 253-77872509
Age: Less than 1 year

Just got this fridge brand new. The lower fridge part seals great. The top freezer seals, but not a "suction" seal like the fridge. If you close the fridge door, the freezer jumps open and shuts.

Is this normal? Can I adjust something probably, or did I get a bad fridge?

Thanks for your help!

Call Sears and have them come out and check the fridge.

It may be that the magnet in the freezer door gasket is not strong enough to hold the door closed.

Make sure that the fridge is leveled to the specification in your owners manual.
