Default Motor runs no cold, fridge or freezer
Brand: Other
Model Number: LDN20715ST
Age: Less than 1 year

I just bought this bottom freezer LG refrigerator, had it 4 days, worked fine, then last night the motor is running , and I hear a whine for about 3-4 secs, then a click like a switch, 4-5 minutes later the above is repeated.
This morning all freezer is defrosted, the refrigerator is warm, the motor is till running.
I set the temp. to it's highest number (coldest ) for freezer and refrigerator.
Makes no difference to temperature, still not cooling.
Thanks for any help
Don

It sounds like the relay and over load maybe defective or the compressor.

Your fridge should be under manufactures warranty.

You should look in your owners manual for the servicer nearest you.

Home Depot are going to replace the unit for me. Spoke to a service store here for LG, told them what was going on, they said compressor, get a new fridge!!!
It would be faster for me to get a new fridge than for them to get a compressor and install it.
Thanks
Don
