Default Motor or Motherboard
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: SSH25KFRFWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

Just recently my ice maker slowly started dispensing less and less ice. Then it began to have to be pushed two or three times to start spinning. It got slower and slower and took more time to work. Then it would not work all the time. And finally it just quit. Now the ice dispenser will not do anything. The ice maker still works great and makes more ice than I can use. The water works with no problems as well as the light and the lock function. I have no issues with the fridge with the exception of the ice dispenser. For those of you that know more than me is this more than likely the dispenser motor or possibly the mother board. I don't know alot about appliance repair but have sucessfully done a few here and there. Please let me know.

Same thing happened to my ice maker. I replaced the control board and it has worked fine since.
