Default Me Too!

Hello, I just moved into a home and found myself an owner of a nice looking GE GSH25SGRBSS refrigerator. When trying to use the water dispenser, only the ice options work. Prior to reading this forum, I thought it was the water filter, which I replaced, but still no water. I didn't have anything to stick up the dispenser hole to check if the water was frozen, I just assumed it was and used a blow dryer to melt it.
After about 5 mins of blow drying, it let it sit for a while and later that night, I had water! unfortunately, the water supply was very weak. I did notice that when first dispensing, there's a quick burst of water, then it gets weak. However, it's been about 2 days and then thing has froze up again. is the weak supply a result of low pressure or additional ice restricting flow? thanks

I have not heard of the problem with the GE water line freezing.

If you use the blow dryer on it you should have had water on it when you were done not later in the evening.

When you are getting the water do you hear any unusual sounds?

If you had very low water pressure you would have leaky valve.

The water pressure in your house line closes the valve on the fridge.

Here is a link to your fridge model GSH25SGRBSS.
