I have a Maytag MSD2456DEW fridge. The water and Ice Maker used to work, but I stoped using it all together when I moved to another place. Then about 6 months ago the Circuit board went bad (it stopped cooling the right side) so I had it replaced and just now I had the water line connected and found that it's not working. When I pressed the ice buttom to dispense ice, the motor seems to be working properly but of course there is no ice. When I press the water buttom, it doesn't do anything at all. I did check the water pressure and it is good. and the filter is a new one and it's installed correctly. Don't know what else I can check??!! Thanks for any of your input!!!

Can you hear the water inlet valve work when you try the water. Check the water inlet valve.Refrigerator Repair Guide: How to Check the Water Inlet Valve - ACME HOW TO.com

when i press on the water buttom, there is no sound at all. I do not hear anything coming from the water inlet valve. do i need to replace the water inlet valve? thank you in advance...

If that is the case yes it probably needs replaced. The link provided above mentions bad connections and how to test it.
