Default Maytag Refrigerator problem
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MZD2766GES
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a maytag refrigerator. It has an intermittant buz in the top of the refrigerator compartment. Its on the right side looking in. I am certain its the adaptive defrost.

Now the issue is that I have search everywhere on the unit and cannot find a serial number or better yet the series number so that I can order the correct part.
I have looked on the doors, the rear. removed the cover to the compressor area. I can't find the serial number.

Can some tell me where they hid it?

thanks

Here is the parts breakdown
Maytag MZD2766GES

It looks like they list a number of Series but the part number for the adaptive defrost is the same for all.

Click on "Help with series numbers"
Scroll up and click "Locating Your Model Number"
