Model Number: ptb21536f
Age: 1 - 4 years

The refrigerator slowly stopped staying cold. The freezer works great and keeps things ice cold. It is just the fridge that no longers stays cold. I am not sure what the problem is or if it is work trying to fix. Thanks in advance for your help.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent between the freezer and fridge. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's open.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

defrost problem.
check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat
