 Maytag Icemaker Problem Still Not Solved Brand: Maytag Model Number: RTT2100DAE Age: More than 10 years
In Sept. I asked for advice on my icemaker...the fill tube part was filling with ice and then filled the ice cube reservoir with water. I called a repair man and he replaced the outside part that connects to the fill tube. He replaced it. He charged $120. for about 20-30 minutes of work. Once again the fill tube is freezing and has knocked the new part from the back and water flooded the floor.
An online help I originally received was that the water inlet valve is leaking. There is a icemaker water inlet cup that sits on top of the icemaker that the fill tube sits in.....there is not a line connected to it. At the back bottom right hand side of the refrigerator is the single outlet water valve kit. Is that what could be leaking. At this point I can't tell if it is leaking. Should I hook up the icemaker, fill tube and the back line and get the icemaker working again to see if there is a leak at the bottom.......or should I just order a new single outlet water valve and just replace that??? |
