Question Maytag Icemaker Problem Still Not Solved
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: RTT2100DAE
Age: More than 10 years

In Sept. I asked for advice on my icemaker...the fill tube part was filling with ice and then filled the ice cube reservoir with water. I called a repair man and he replaced the outside part that connects to the fill tube. He replaced it. He charged $120. for about 20-30 minutes of work. Once again the fill tube is freezing and has knocked the new part from the back and water flooded the floor.
An online help I originally received was that the water inlet valve is leaking. There is a icemaker water inlet cup that sits on top of the icemaker that the fill tube sits in.....there is not a line connected to it. At the back bottom right hand side of the refrigerator is the single outlet water valve kit. Is that what could be leaking. At this point I can't tell if it is leaking. Should I hook up the icemaker, fill tube and the back line and get the icemaker working again to see if there is a leak at the bottom.......or should I just order a new single outlet water valve and just replace that???

Disconnect the water line coming out of the valve. You should be able to see it continue to drip or trickle at that spot.
