Holy jeebus, it just happened to mine! Gotta love the internet though, found this board and feel good about the possibility of getting my food out of the cooler and back in the fridge by tomarrow. I ordered the HV board and will install it myself. I also plan to fix the old one for WHEN this happens again. And btw, like so many others, mine is out of warrentee by 4 months too!

Partselect rocks! I got my part today nice and early, after ordering it yesterday. The fix was easy, slipped it in, programmed the fridge, and viola! I didn't have time to wait for a free fix, just needed my fridge back up and working, so partselect.com is the best in my book. How long does it take Maytag to give you the free fix?

Here is the updated site for the $4 fix to the HV control board. This solves the flashing or blinking lights and flapping ice door problem. Parts available at your local Radio Shack.

The original site (http://68.195.103.87:8083/liny/maytagice2o.htm) had to be moved to a commercial server and is now located here: Maytag Ice2O French Door Refrigerator

Of those who have replied to the email ID on the site, there has been a 100% success rate. So if you can't wait for Maytag to ship the part and schedule its installation, this will get you up and running in under an hour.

Enjoy :-)

I work in the Maytag/Whirlpool call center. We've been having a LOT of calls about the Ice20 problems. My irritation comes from the fact that we are SUPPOSED to send you a new control board and schedule service FREE OF CHARGE. Why the other representative did not say that, I do not know, and I severly apologize for it. Call Whirlpool and tell them what the problem is and they should do what they're supposed to.

Hopefully that was some help.
