Default Maytag Fridge Inlet Valve Install Issues
Model Number: psd2453grw
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello,

I am trying to install two new water inlet valves to my Maytag fridge. The old water lines were already disconnected due to broken valves. I have no idea which water line goes in where.........

So far I think the water line goes from the primary valve up to the water filter (not sure which one though- left or right), then back down to the secondary inlet valve, then off to the water tank, then the other to the ice maker......does anyone have a spec sheet/diagram/explanation so I can put the right line in the right place.

Any help

The primary valve is the valve the incoming water line hooks to.

The hose with the blue stripe hook to the out let of the primary valve.

The hose with the yellow stripe goes to the inlet of the secondary valve.

The brown coil is for the ice maker and the blue coil is for the water.

Thanks for the response. I snipped the blue ends already and am not sure
which is which. Do you know as you look at the back of the fridge which one
is which that runs up to the water filter:
Left side =
Right side =

I'm not sure I know what you want to know.

The blue line goes to the filter the yellow comes out of the filter and to the secondary valve.

I have two lines that run to/from the water filter and I am just trying to
ascertain (if you stand behind the fridge and look at it) which line should
be blue, which yellow. The two lines go in at the top of the fridge to
filter at the same place with no markings to go off now. Is the line on the
left blue or yellow, is the line on the right blue or yellow? I am guessing
if you connect the wrong one to the wrong valve it will screw up the flow?
Thanks again, you have been very helpful and patient.
Martin

The blue is on the left.
