I Want To Manuel Defrost A Kenmor Elite, To A Locate Defrost Problem.
The Problem Is It Has A Control Board Not A Defrost Timer. My Son Says I Might Have To Open And Close Door So Many Times, To Manuel Defrost.

Does Any One Have The Corect Procedure? Thanks Bettyboop

Found The Answer On A Whirlpool Site, Says All Refers That Use The Same Type Defrost Board"unplug Ref, Then Turnoff Cold Controlwait 48 Seconds Or So,plug In And Turn Cold Control On This Simulates A Power Outtage, And Board Will Defrost, If Bi Metal Is Sound"
