Default Manual Defrost
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSS20IEPD WW
Age: 1 - 4 years

This is a foolup of my first question and didn't know if it would be read if I replied to it. My freezer coil is iced over and I read my manual but saw nothing as to putting this in manual defrost. This is a side by side with water, cubed ice and crushed in the door. Can this thing even be put in manual defrost? Would turning off the freezer control do it? TIA Ben

Default

This is from Technology

Frigidaire (01/18/02 all mechanical defrost timers eliminated from their SxSides). To force a defrost the light switch must be toggled.
