Default Low water flow
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: ESH25XGRB
Age: 1 - 4 years

The water flow through the door has slowed down so much that it almost doesnt come out at all. The initial thrust is there but immediately slows to a trickle. Ice make was ok but seems to be having problem now making ice. I replaced filter inside refrigerator side and the valve on the lower left backside and it has not gotten any better. I called a repair facility and the person told me they have seen this lately and it is frozen lines in the door and requires door replacement (approx. 1/2 the cost of the whole refrigerator). Any ideas?

If possible remove all the food from the freezer and leave it with the door open.
If after a couple hours water flows OK then you know that it is a freezing problem

Replace a door for a water line WHAT ARE THEY CRAZY.
It seems unless there is a fire hazard and they are sued a few times most appliance manufacturers take absolutely no responsibility for design flaws.

If the freezing is the problem perhaps someone can provide help on routing the water line so it is less susceptable to the cold

You may can thaw it with a hair dryer at the dispenser and raising the temp of the freezer slightly might prevent it from happening again.
