Default Looking for Ice Maker Parts
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106.626662
Age: 1 - 4 years

Ice Maker Model 106.626662 - dated 09/02/2005. Quit working. Disconnected and pulled the ice maker out. Found cam shaft broken. New motor assembly is >$50.00 If you look at part #AH381007 (appliancehelp.com) and see 2nd picture (back side of assembly), there is a 2 piece shaft. The part of the shaft that goes through the gear wheel (part #628358 - which may be broken as well... or appears to have rough edges on backside where shaft went through) broke off. It is a two-prong fork-like shaft made of plastic. This part broke. I'm trying to just get the gear wheel (which has contact copper on the back for sensors) and the shaft without buying a whole new motor assembly). The shaft itself has a stamp of MXN-40611-51 but I can't find any parts that match this number. In the picture, the center shaft (which has a flat side for rotating purposes) is the piece that is broken. That's the part I'm looking for with the other half of the pronged fork like shaft it attaches to and goes through the gear. I just can't see spending over $50.00 for a when a couple of $5.00 parts is the answer. Help me find the parts!

The parts you are looking for are only available as the assembly you have shown.
