Brand: Amana
Model Number: abb2227dew
Age: More than 10 years

Am trying to locate the components which control the defrost cycle in this model. Bottom freezer is too cold and top refrig is too warm. Frost buildup in freezer on back louvers.

If you take the ice maker out, and then the back panel off, You most likely will ne the defrost thermostat. It is the small round object with 2 wires coming to it. You also have a control board where your controls are. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
