Brand: Maytag
Model Number: msd2757ae
Age: 5 - 10 years
The water line connection to the rear of the refridgerator continues to leak. I have used several new compression nuts and it still leaks Would overtightening the nut cause a leak?

Yes if you over tighten the nut it will leak or if it is not tight enough it will leak.
