Default Leaking icemaker
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FRS24B66B4
Age: 5 - 10 years

For Fridgedair FRS 24B, about 7 years old, water overfilling ice maker and leaking out front of freezer door . Line to icemaker is clear. Is the solinoid the unit lower left corner where the water goes into the back of the refridg.
Thanks,
Woody

It does appear to be the solonoid. Is there a way to check it?

Is sounds like the valve is not closing.

That the valve off and clean it.

There must be a piece of dirt making it stick opened.

Here is a link to your fridge model FRS24BggB4.

Sheila,

It could be something even more simpler.....Did you move the units recently?
Check to be sure your unit is level. An extremely unlevel refrigerator could cause the ice maker to spill over on one side. If this is happening you sure also see water at the bottom of the freezer section in the form of ice.
