Default Leaking Fridge
Brand: Other
Model Number: CNNT174K
Age: More than 10 years

Hello,

The name badge on the fridge door says "Norge", never heard of that name before. The problem we are having is that there is water dripping from the inside. I have read other posts that say a drain tube is plugged. I have looked for the drain tube before and could not find it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Wife is not happy, her veggies are getting water logged.

Thanx for your help and have a great day,

Rob.

At the bottom of the freezer, top of the fridge is the drip pan which has a drain tube at the back and drains to the drain pan under the unit. You may can clear from the bottom with air pressure and not have to remove the pan. It gets stopped up with all the dust underneath. If it won't clear it could be frozen in the drip pan.

Thanx for your reply Woodchuck,

I looked underneath the fridge, and there is only a rubber hose to the pan from the inside bottom of the fridge. The hose is only about 3 inches long. There is no other line going to the pan. Any other suggestions? I can take a pix and post it if that will help.

Thanx again and have a great day,

Rob.

Maybe this diagram and parts list will help you. Part 29 in the diagram is the drip tray and part 39 is where the drip tube goes.Maytag Appliance CNNT174K Parts List

Thanx Woodchuck,

Is this fridge made by Maytag? In order to access this hose, do I need to start taking it apart?? At the drip tray, I do not see a hose, other than the one that goes through the floor to the drip pan.

Thanx again for your help.

Have a great day,

Rob.

That may be the hose we're looking for. Is it stopped up. Will water drain through it.

That hose is about 2 inches long and is not plugged. It is intended to drain the bottom of the fridge. It is the only hose that drains into the drain pan. How would I find the hose that you are talking about, or is there something else??

Thanx again and have a great day,

Rob.
