Question Leaking from freezer
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FRS22ZRG
Age: 5 - 10 years

We have a Fridgedaire with a freezer-door dispenser for ice and filtered water.

We are seeing water collect in the bottom of the freezer (looks like an indented area to receive water). I was assuming this was part of the defroster system. Anyway, the water turns to ice and when more water collects in the same area, the overflow comes out onto the floor below the door on the front of the freezer.

Any ideas?

The drain for the defrost water is likely plugged.

Unplug the fridge and remove the panel on the back wall of the freezer section.

Behind the panel you will find a trough that the water runs into.

Clear the area of and run a firm but flexible piece of wire down through to make sure the tube is clear.

This should fix the problem.
