Default Leakage from bottom back of freezer
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: TFX22KR
Age: 1 - 4 years

My refridgerator/freezer has been leaking from the bottom rear of the freezer side each evening for the last couple of weeks. It is not leaking from the ice-maker, but I think it is from a different copper line that enters the bottom of the freezer, coming from the condensor (I think)? Inside the bottom of the freezer it is full of ice as though water had been pooling there and froze. I'm thinking that perhaps a drain line is frozen and so it is leaking out the back because it has no where else to go? My question is if I turn the fridge off to melt out all the ice at the bottom of the freezer do you think this will solve mthe problem? Thanks.

No defrosting the freezer will not solve your problem.

The drain is likely plug and insted of draining to the pan that is under the fridge it is draining in the freezer bottom and running out the door.

What you have to do is take the back panel in the freezer off and run a piece of flexable wire down through the drain.

Here is a link to your fridge model TFX22KR.
