Default Leak behind Water dispenser
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 795.75193401
Age: 1 - 4 years

I am experiencing a small leak behind the water dispenser and can't figure out the problem and of course can't find the owners manual. I have not changed out my water filter for quite awhile so not sure if that is the problem. I also removed the casing where the tank sits and didn't see any holes or any problems. Any idea's on what the problem may be? Thanks

Does it have the slow leak all the time. Even when you,re not getting water. check water inlet valve. Refrigerator Repair Guide: How to Check the Water Inlet Valve - ACME HOW TO.com

Or does it just leak when you are getting water. Hole in water line near dispenser.

Default Leak Behind Water Dispenser

I actually took the casing off and noticed that it appears there is a micro sized puncture on the tank. Very curious how that could have happened. Anyways, it looks like I need to replace but am a little worried I will ruin the unit while trying to disconnect. Is there anything in particular I should do when disconnecting the valves to replace the tank. Thanks

I would try one of the products that you mix to activate and plug it with that. Hardware stores have lots to choose from. Just choose one that fits your application.
