Default Kitchenaid icemaker inop.
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KSRD25FKST15
Age: 1 - 4 years

My kitchenaid(whirpool) refrigerator of 2 years stopped making ice. I removed the three screws attaching the icemaker to the Freezer side wall, but was unable to remove it as the wire harness appears to be hard-wired. It does'nt appear to have any connectors that could be unplugged. One end of the wire harness goes thru the freezer wall and the other end goes thru the ice maker. ( I read in previous threads that it was just a simple disconnect, not so here)
Could it be that my icemaker is realy hard-wired and that i must cut and splice in the replacement? Please help.
Thanks,Raymond

No your icemaker is not hard wired there is a clip that has to be release on the icemaker where the wires plug in.

Is the icemaker getting any water?

Here is a link to your fridge model KSRD25FKST15.

Here is the icemaker kit.

Hello, I assume there is water , as there is water at the thru-door dispenser.
The ice maker is also filled and frozen solid. I did pull off the large square plastic cover and realised that the harness can be unplugged. S o i ordered a replacement icemaker.
Thanks,
