Default Kitchen Aid Ice maker wont make ice

My ice maker is not working at all on my kitchen aid. I can get water to come out my door but it is not getting up to my ice tray in the freezer. Ive defrosted the freezer overnight and tried replacing the inlet valve on the back. Neither worked. Is my ice maker shot or could it be something else?
