The freezer drain is clogged. The easiest way for the layman to fix it is, shut it down, and open the doors for 24 hours, and the drain will defrost, and the water will be in the pan below. Then I want you to look at the refrigerator, and make sure the front is higher then the rear. When you let go of the refrigerator door, it should close by itself. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com

Sounds like your drain tube down to the tray at the bottom of the fridge is blocked, so when the freezer defrosts the water ends up in the fridge.

Since you are getting water in the fridge, the drain probably comes from the freezer and drains into a funnel like part at the back top of the fridge, then down a drain tube, out the back of the fridge and down to the tray

The tubing can usually be cleared by using a turkey baster and forcing water through it. Also is a good idea to force a 20% bleach solution through it once cleared. Mold etc. likes to grow in the tube
Cold also be a cracked /leaking funnel assy.

Denman, I have got to know, where do you come up with this stuff? You have put a smile on my face so big, I don't know what to say. I am going to walmart to buy me a turkey baster right now and put it in my van. LOL. Tom
