Have Kenmore Refrigerator with fridge at top freezer on bottom. Fridge is working but the freezer quit working last night. Making a noise when freezer tries to kick on.

Is the compressor running?

What you are saying is not possible because the freezer is what makes the fridge section cold.

What kind of noise is it making and where is the noise coming from?
