Default Kenmore ice maker trouble
Brand: Kenmore
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Kenmore side by side, and the ice maker has been replaced, but now the ice is dropping partially unforzen and tray does not fill completely with water. Any clues?

Can you please provide your model number?

Are the ice cubes hollow?

Default ice maker

the ice is real wet, not frozen, and we noticed that the furthest two ice holes do not fill. Maybe it's sensing the ice is frozen and dumping early, thus wet ice, all clumped together when refrozen? Not sure. Why would the tray not fill completely? It used to? We have replaced the whole ice maker.

You may have to adjust the water fill on the ice maker.

If you pop the front cover off the ice maker you will see an adjusting screw in the top right corner.

Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to increase the fill time.

Turn it a quarter turn at a time.
