Default Kenmore Ice Maker problem
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106.53669300
Age: 1 - 4 years

I've got a kenmore side-by-side refrigerator that has an unhappy icemaker. I'm not sure the exact problem, so I'm looking to just replace the whole unit. In the process of trying to fix it or diagnose it I broke the gear off the ejector arm on the control module. Prior to my poor repair, the water would get into the unit and freeze, but the ejector arm wouldn't push them out, so I figured it was either the heating unit or the control module - but it's kind of a mute point since I broke the gear off

Since I know that part is broken, and I wasn't sure if the unit that heats the ice to eject was broken, I figure a replacement should be the cheapest/easiest/fastest route to take rather than guessing on parts to replace.

My problem is that I'm not sure what model the ice maker is to get a replacement. I know the refrigerator is a 10653669300 and I've got the part list for all the ice maker components, but not the entire assembly.

Thanks!
Derek

Default

Here is a number for Sears. 1-800-252-1698

The ice maker is not listed as a kit but Sears may have a listing for one.
