Default Kenmore ice maker problem
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106-
Age: 1 - 4 years

My kenmore ice maker does not dump ice; though it does make ice. I had melted the ice in the mold and taken the melted water out; then turn it back on. I can see there is new ice in the mold; but just not being dumpped to the bin? Does any body has any suggestions?

Thanks,
Charlie

Model # starting with 106 are whirlpool mfg. for kenmore.these icemaker have a internal sensor to know when ice is frozen. If the icemaker cover faces forward.remove it.you will see a plastic gear .at about 5 oclock below gear is two small test holes labeled H and T I believe. If you make a small jumper wire to go into these two holes it will jump out the sensor and icemaker will start cycle.leave in untill ice ejects.with the jumper in it will not fill with water so dont be alarmed, but will verify you need to replace sensor[bimetal]

Ghunter:
Only see 1 hole at 5 o'clock. Is the other hole on the other side? Or where?
Thanks,
C
