Default Kenmore ice maker drips
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106.72292201
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Kenmore refrig #106.72292201 with a built-in ice maker. At the rear left corner of the freezer compartment, where the ice maker is mounted, there is water dripping and freezing along the corner and down onto the floor of the freezer. It seems to form drips down the back inside wall of the freezer when the ice maker fills. If the ice maker is turned off, no drips at all.

Can someone give me an idea of what may be causing this?
Thanks!

Make sure the fridge is level.

Make sure there is no ice build up on the fill tube.

The water may be spraying out over the side.

I had the same problem with our fridge and it was replaced by Sears two years after we bought it. We had called a technician to take a look at it and he told us that it was not repereable. You may want to talk to Sears about and complain. The tehnician told us that it was a manufacturer's defect.
