About 1 1/2 weeks ago a message of ER FF showed up on the panel. Also a loud humming was heard and when you opened the door it stopped. There was ice on the back of the freezer. Then we heard there was a recall but it was too late to call. Today the sound stopped but so did the fridge. We called and they said many have called but ours is not recalled even though it is the same problem (so it sounds like) Someone please help. We have no money to call in a repairman and after spending all the money on the refridgerator last year we shouldn1t have to.

If the fridge is not running at all it is like the main control board that is located at the back of the fridge.

This is a good Sears model number but I can't find it in our database.

The Sears part number for the board is 6871jb1280c.

Check in your owners manual for the warranty on the electronic in the fridge.

If your fridge is under one year it should be under warranty.
