Default Kenmore defrost thermostat
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 59679272993
Age: 5 - 10 years

I'm trying to replace my defrost thermostat for this fridge.
the original part number was 10442407. when i ordered it they told me it was replaced by part number 10442411.
now part number 10442411 has different plugins for the wires. It has an orange wire and a brown wire. The plug for the orange wire is the same but the plug for the brown wire is different ... has anyone run into this problem? ...anybody know the solution?

The thermostat is not polar so doesn't matter which way installed. Just cut off the plug from the old one and splice it on the new one. Add some silicone cement to splice to help keep water out.
