I have a Kenmore Coldspot refrigerator. Everything works fine including the inside water dispenser, but the ice maker recently stopped working. I woke up one morning and there was water all over my kitchen floor. The inside of the frezzer also had ice everywhere. I pulled the refrigerator our and took a look at the unit from the back and did not see anything leaking. I tried the water dispenser and put the ice maker back on, but didn't see any visable water leaking. The only thing I did see was some condensation around the area where the water goes into the ice maker and it looked like there was water in the line, but not making it all the way up to the inlet of the ice maker. I then tried pouring hot water into the ice maker to see if the unit froze. After I did that I did get a couple of pieces of ice out, but that was it. It seemed like the unit was working. but im not getting any water into the ice maker. Any suggestions on what to look for? Thanks

See if the water inlet valve works. It's on the back where the water line goes in. Swap the wires on the two valves and see if water goes to the ice maker when you try getting water from the dispenser. If it does then the problem is with the ice maker.
