Default Kenmore coldspot Fridge side warm, Freezer cold
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106.53662300
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello,
My Fridge is running above 50 degrees, but freezer side is well below freezing, making ice and doing fine. I have looked at a number of posts regarding this issue, and think my problem is similar. For my model, I think I have a defrost thermostat, and a defrost heater. Do I have a defrost timer? Any other likely parts? There is very little airflow coming from the freezer side to the fridge.
What should be my troubleshooting process?

Thanks to any and all who may be able to assist,
Mike

It is possible that the air gate that allow the air to flow from the freezer to the fridge is not working.

To test the operation of the fridge there should be a tech sheet that is located in behind the kick plate.

If you can not find it there it may be in the control panel in the fridge section.

If you can not find it I will be able to give you the instructions.

You can visually check the air gate by taking the top shelf out and looking in the damper assembly.

The gate should be open.

Sometimes what happen is the gate freezes and then it breaks when it tries to move.

Here is a link to the parts of your fridge model 106.53662300.

Here is the air diffuser part number PS332745.
