So, our 6 month old kitchen aid SXS Architect, model kscs25fsmsol, was working just fine. I went to get ice this morning and the ice maker was not dispensing easily. I opened up the freezer door and this is what I saw. Any ideas? Its under warranty and I will make a call tomorrow, but if its something easy to fix I would take a shot at it, so we can start using it. Also, it was a slide to turn the ice maker off, but its frozen with ice...whats the best way to melt this so I can shut it off?

Shut the water supple to the fridge off.

You can use a hair dryer to melt the ice around the switch.

You should leave the rest of the ice there so the technician can see what happen.

It looks to me that the water did not shut off to the ice maker.

Thanks. I actually took everything out and let the ice melt off. Turned it back on and its working fine now. I am going to call for service just to make sure. I didn't think about leaving the ice on. When I heard the water come on prior to melting, I saw the water come on, run over and shut off. So, not sure what happened.
