 Problem Fixed!
Got the part as described above, removed the three screws and the entire mechanisim comes forward exposing the arm and the cam. The old one had just been cut by the spring loaded metal Bale after all the years of rotation on the gear. The one screw in the center of the plastic gear removes the cam and the replacement goes on just as easy. Works great now. tahanks to all of you for your help.
