The icemaker won't make ice. The water dispenser works, but icemaker does not. The light on the panel inside of the freezer - where you turn icemaker off/on is not on at all. We moved this from one house to another. Could something have come undone? Any ideas?

Could be several things, I just worked on mine today and found the thermal
cut-out switch bad. This switch is in series with the rotation motor so nothing rotated to actuate things. There are also micro switches, nylon gears, heater control thermostat and the heater that could cause problems. When you flip the lever down to the lower positon with the cover off you should see the motor turning the gears and it should rotate and make micro switches that turn on
the water fill solenoid and also turn on the heater once the water has turned to ice and then it should spin the ice cubes out and start the cycle all over again.

My problem seems to be a water problem. The water won't even get to the ice maker to make ice.

You could have a bad water fill solenoid or a bad micro switch in the ice maker
itself. The only way you will know is to check them with a Digital Volt Meter. You
can find a parts breakdown on the web by searching for ice maker repair and entering your ice maker model number. You also need to take the cover off your ice maker and see if the rotation motor is working when you flip the lever down to make ice. The rotation motor will rotate the cam in the icemaker till it makes the water fill micro switch for the water fill.
