Question IceMaker problem
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: side-side Ice bucket on door
Age: 1 - 4 years

This is the third time I have run into this problem.I told my customers they need to call Whirlpool.First I cant jump out the Module,so I try a new icemaker and replace the set of opticals on the liner inside.Still nothing,I found the voltage a little low at icemaker plug,it was reading about 100 volts, but I have 110 at all other places on the refer,Thx for any help.Scott,A&H Appliance

No it doesnt fill with water, because i cant get the icemaker to cycle,I should be able to jump the icemaker out by jumping t-h on the module, that would cycle the icemaker then i could see if the problem was with the water valve.I been in the trade for 20 years....there is something that im not catching.Like I said early, its the third time i ran into this same problem.I try new icemaker, new water valve and new optical kit.....still nothing.

Do the wires in the walls have any resistance on them?
Maybe there is a problem with the wire harness in the wall?

Just guessing now.

Seems like there are always lots of problems with icemakers and now that they added the IR control board, lol...

More parts more problems.
