Default Icemaker Overfilling
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: TPX21BRXABB
Age: 5 - 10 years

I am having a problem with my icemaker overfilling in that upon the fill cycle the water runs for about 6 sec. then stops, then about 2 minutes later it runs again, causing it to overfill. This does not sound like a valve problem in that the vlave does shut off, but I could be wrong. I am thinking of doing the old bead of silicone trick, but I have no qualms about replacing the unit if I'm sure that is the problem.
any adive would be appreciated.
Mark
