Icemaker Line Removal Brand: KitchenAid Model Number: KSRD25FKWH03 Age: Please select Last week I turned off the water supply without turning off the icemaker. The water line, as it enters the top rear of the unit, appears to be frozen. It also is fozen inside at the fill tube.
I was able to thaw the inside tube and outside line with a hair dryer but only get a small amount of water at the icemaker. It stills seems to be blocked so I then disconnected the water line (at the value) and tried to blow through the tube to see if it is was open. I was unable to blow the line clearly.
The solenoid valve does send water, as I left it disconnected through a icemaking cycle and there was water on the floor. I want to check the line at the top rear (where it enters the freezer) to see if it is clear but cannot disconnect it. It appears to be a plug with an O-ring but I cannot get it to move.
Can anyone tell me how to remove the fill line from the top of the refrigerator rear?
Thanks,
John |
